I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up in the inner city with my 5 brothers and sister. We were a Catholic family in name only. My father passed away when I was 11 years old. My mother wanted to get out of the city and moved the family to Cap Cod.
I was really angry (Looking back at God) and ran away from home. The State of Massachusetts placed me in a foster home. I lived in the foster home from 12 - 17 years old. During this time, a local Nazarene Church through VBS reached my family. My mom, brothers and sisters all received Christ and attended church regularly.
My mother started to pray for me and shared with the church to pray for me. When I was 16 Mom invited me to church on Easter. I went reluctantly, but that day my life was changed. At the end of the service, I went forward to an altar and asked Jesus Christ into my life. The Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene became my family and help me grow in my faith. God called me to be a Pastor when I was 17 almost 18.
I attended Eastern Nazarene College from 1984 -1988. I earned a bachelor of Religion. I met my wonderful wife at ENC and we were married in September 1988. We have three children now, Weston (14), Patrick (11), and Kristin (10). I have been a fulltime Youth Pastor for 6 years in three different churches (Burlington, VT, Nashua , NH, and Roanoke, Va). I have been a Senior Pastor for 16 years in two churches (Concord, NH and Ellicott City, Md).
I just finished my masters in Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. I am presently in my 8th year of ministry at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Ellicott City, Md. The church is thriving and life is very busy.
